Only a quick note:
Samba 4.10.6 now runs nicely on Solaris 11.3, Solaris 11.4, OmniOSce, Openindiana Hipster as Active Domain Controller.
I'll post setup instructions in a few weeks (drop me anote if you are in a hurry!), so you can replay the setup of an Active Directory Controller running in one Zone and add a second zone with the fileserver that joins the AD. ZFS is configured to support ACLs necessary to grant permissions by the RSAT tools, Group Policy Objects and Roaming Profiles (on Windows).
Only pice missing is to figure out the required special permissions to accept the Windows 10 Workstations to store Roaming Profiles on the server share (recent build startet to excessively require special security settings.

If you want to try out setting up an AD Controller, then please let me know. I might have some early setup instructions and notes about possible pitfalls (pls write me at sfepackages at g mail dot com)

Maybe it works to even join the Samba provided AD Domain with the SunOS built-in SMB Server? We'll see!

By the way, I know there is some work going on to compile packages on sparc CPUs. If you are interested, drop me a note so I can send you a heads up once there is something to try out.

Regards
Thomas
